QA/QC Supervisor – Oil & Gas Manufacturing

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Supervisor to join an established oil & gas manufacturing operation in Midland, Texas.

This is a hands-on quality leadership position for someone who understands the realities of an oilfield manufacturing environment. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience manufacturing or inspecting sucker rod pumps, artificial lift equipment, downhole tools, valves, wellhead equipment, pumps, machined components, or other oilfield products.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the QA/QC inspection team.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
• Ensure manufactured products meet engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and applicable API/ISO standards.
• Inspect and verify machined components using micrometers, calipers, gauges, thread gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Review blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, material specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
• Monitor quality throughout machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, and final inspection.
• Maintain proper material identification and product traceability.
• Manage NCRs and work directly with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions when defects or recurring problems are identified.
• Help reduce scrap, rework, warranty issues, and customer quality concerns.
• Maintain inspection reports, material certifications, calibration records, test documentation, and other quality records.
• Participate in internal, customer, API, ISO, and third-party audits.
• Train and mentor inspectors and production personnel on quality expectations.
• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain leadership to continuously improve product quality.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas or industrial manufacturing, ideally with previous lead or supervisory responsibilities.

Strong candidates will have experience with:

Oilfield equipment manufacturing • Sucker rod pumps • Artificial lift • Downhole equipment • Pumps and valves • CNC machining • Precision inspection • API standards • ISO 9001 • API Q1 • GD&T • Blueprint reading • NCRs • Root-cause analysis • Corrective actions • Material traceability • Calibration

You should be comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor and communicating with machinists, welders, assemblers, inspectors, engineers, operations managers, and customers.

Experience working in an API-certified manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
