An established Dallas law firm is hiring an insurance litigation associate to handle insurance-related disputes in state and federal court, working side by side with experienced partners on matters from first filing through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Handle insurance-related litigation in state and federal court, from initial pleadings through trial or resolution
- Analyze policy language, coverage questions, liability, and exposure
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions, and attend hearings and mediations
- Work closely with partners and communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed Texas attorney with litigation experience
- Insurance coverage or insurance defense experience a plus
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- Collaborative, client-focused, and able to manage deadlines independently
