Our regional CPA firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join their growing Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with their diverse client base, particularly in the non-profit sector, providing critical accounting support for a variety of clients.
Accountant Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/train/guide: A small team of Accounting Associates
- Accounts Payable: Manage and process vendor invoices and payments
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee invoicing and collections, ensuring timely and accurate entries
- Bank & Credit Card Activity: Reconcile statements and track transactions for multiple accounts
- Payroll: Assist with processing payroll for clients in a timely and accurate manner
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Month-End Close: Support the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion and reporting
- Client Interaction: Regular communication with clients to ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes
Accountant Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 year of accounting experience in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Non-profit experience is preferred but not required
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
