Residential Architect

Location: Lake Geneva, WI

Overview:
A well-respected custom home builder in the Lake Geneva region is seeking a Residential Architect to join its design team. This company is known for creating high-end, one-of-a-kind homes that blend functionality, luxury, and craftsmanship. This role is ideal for a creative architect who thrives on collaboration and enjoys seeing their designs come to life in beautiful custom builds.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for custom residential projects, from schematic design through construction documents

  • Collaborate with clients to translate their vision into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs

  • Produce detailed plans, elevations, 3D renderings, and specifications

  • Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure designs are buildable and meet budget and schedule goals

  • Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and interior designers to ensure all disciplines are aligned

  • Conduct site visits and participate in design meetings during construction to resolve issues and maintain design intent

  • Stay current with residential design trends, codes, and building materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program

  • 4–6 years of professional experience in residential architecture, ideally custom single-family homes

  • Strong design portfolio showcasing custom home projects

  • Proficiency with CAD, BIM (Revit preferred), and 3D rendering software

  • Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
