Audit Senior Manager

Location: Tempe, AZ

Overview

A national tax, assurance and advisory CPA firm is seeking an Audit Senior Manager for its Tempe, Arizona office. This role is a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused audit and assurance services to middle market clients, working side-by-side with firm leadership to serve clients and build the business while mentoring a team of talented staff. Hybrid flexibility is available.

Responsibilities

• Provide assurance and consulting services to industry-focused middle market clients
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand their business goals and challenges
• Implement testing to assess internal control deficiencies and recommend improvements
• Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery
• Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations
• Manage engagement staffing, billing and collections and meet client profitability targets
• Network and build relationships to acquire new clients, projects and revenue
• Support the growth and development of team members

Qualifications

• 4-year degree; bachelor's in accounting required, master's or advanced degree desirable
• CPA required
• 8+ years of experience providing financial statement auditing services in a professional services firm
• 5+ years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates
• Strong management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management and communication skills
