A well-established and growing commercial construction company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to develop their project management skills, gain experience across diverse project types, and advance their career.
Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial construction projects.
Support project scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and coordination.
Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project documents.
Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
Assist with subcontractor and vendor coordination.
Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
Assist with cost tracking, pay applications, purchase orders, and budget updates.
Monitor project schedules and help identify potential delays or issues.
Coordinate with Superintendents and field personnel to support project execution.
Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Assist with project closeout activities.
Build positive relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Support the Project Manager in ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations.
2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar construction role is a plus.
Strong understanding of construction plans and project documentation.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to work effectively with field and office teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
