Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 (Based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our established practice in the St. Louis office. In this role, you will work closely with our attorneys on sophisticated estate planning, tax, and probate matters, providing high-level support to ensure exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and individual and fiduciary income tax returns (including Forms 1041, 1065, and 706).

  • Assist with the entire trust process, including trust funding, administration, and drafting notices.

  • Assist with the preparation of basic estate planning documents and coordinate related trust funding.

  • Assist with probate administration from start to finish, including opening and closing estates, e-filing, preparing detailed accountings, and handling asset transfers.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact, communicating seamlessly with clients, financial advisors, and other external partners.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess

  • 3+ years of dedicated probate, trust, and tax experience.

  • A strong general understanding of estate planning principles, trust funding procedures, and beneficiary designation forms.

  • Required experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, particularly when interfacing directly with clients and financial advisors.

  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional judgment, and the ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven priorities in a collaborative team environment.
