Gpac is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent (Night Shift) to lead and develop a maintenance team while ensuring smooth, efficient production operations. This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing a maintenance crew on the night shift, including 3 supervisors, 24 mechanics, 4 electricians, and several boiler/refrigeration techs. You’ll play a key role in improving communication across shifts, driving accountability, and creating a proactive maintenance culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead, coach, and support the night shift maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable plant operations
- Build strong communication between day and night shifts
- Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues to minimize downtime
- Hold team members accountable in a respectful, fair, and constructive way
- Collaborate with production leadership to plan and prioritize maintenance activities
- Promote a culture of ownership, follow-through, and continuous improvement
- Drive training and skill development for maintenance staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety, safety, and company policies
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience leading maintenance or technical teams in a food manufacturing environment (canning experience a plus, but not required)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
