Job Title: Commercial Drywall Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support our commercial drywall operations. This role is ideal for candidates with either a Construction Management degree or 1–3 years of commercial drywall experience, looking to advance their career in project management within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating all phases of commercial drywall projects from start to finish.
  • Support project managers in submittals, RFIs, takeoffs, change orders, and schedule tracking.
  • Help manage project documentation, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Work closely with field teams to ensure alignment on scope, specs, drawings, and timelines.
  • Communicate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Assist with quality control checks and site visits as needed.
  • Track material deliveries, production progress, and manpower requirements.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and issue resolution in the field and office.

Requirements

  • Construction Management degree or 1–3 years of commercial drywall experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both field crews and office leadership.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a reputable commercial drywall team.
