Position: Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney

Location: Fairfax or Richmond, VA (Onsite with Work-from-Home Option on Mondays)

About the Position: We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney to join our growing team in either our Northern Virginia (Fairfax) or Richmond, VA office. This role focuses on fiduciary litigation or estate litigation, which involves representing clients in court when disputes arise over trusts, estates, or fiduciary matters. This is not simple probate or estate administration work but rather high-stakes, full-scale litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in complex trusts and estates disputes in Virginia courts.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel in fiduciary litigation cases.
  • Draft, file, and argue motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop litigation strategies tailored to their needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active Virginia bar license (required).
  • Proven experience in trusts and estates litigation, fiduciary litigation, or estate litigation in Virginia.
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit firm.
