Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all financial aspects of the firm, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and support the firm's strategic objectives.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports, analysis, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage cash flow, monitor key financial metrics, and assess risk to make informed decisions that support the firm's financial well-being.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes, improve controls, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is required.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or directorial position, preferably within a legal firm.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
