Tax Supervisor

Location: Nashville, TN

Overview

A national CPA and advisory firm is seeking a Tax Supervisor for its Nashville, Tennessee office. You'll work alongside an integrated team of seasoned CPAs, take a lead role on engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and build and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex multistate S corporation and partnership income tax returns
• Prepare high net worth individual returns
• Review mid-level complexity multistate S corporation, partnership and individual returns
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Train and supervise staff accountants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA with parts passed
• Master's in Taxation preferred but not required
• 4+ years of public accounting experience
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
• Ability to travel as needed
