Process Technician
Chicago's finest custom plastic injection molding company is looking for a quality Process Technician to help manufacturer a wide variety of molded parts and assemblies. ISO registered company that currently serves Automotive, Electronic Connectors, Dental, Construction, and Food Packaging industries.
Requirements:
- Education, Experience, and Training Required:
- 3-5 years previous plastics management experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Responsibilities:
- Supervising operators, material handlers and set-up personnel
- Sampling and qualifying new tools
- Maintaining machinery and equipment
Manufacturing Tasks:
- Supervising and training all manufacturing employees between 7:30am and 3:30pm
- Maintaining production and quality with minimal losses or downtime
- Documenting any changes to processes
- Completing proper forms for corresponding tasks
- Completing cycle sheets for all production jobs
- Communicating with other supervisors and documenting your shift’s performance
- Seeking improvements to current processes
- Understanding and complying with all quality and customer requirements
- Working closely with Q.A. Dept. to resolve any quality issues promptly
- Always maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Always enforce and respect company rules and policies
- Educating other foremen and process techs on proper molding techniques
Sampling/Qualifying:
- Assisting Plant Manager/Prod. Coordinator with scheduling samples
- Working with customers to find solutions to tooling/molding problems
- Completing proper forms which pertain to sampling
- Establishing best possible processes for qualifying new production tools
- Providing proper paperwork to customers
- Providing front office with proper documents for invoicing
Miscellaneous:
- Maintaining and lubricating all molding machines and documentation of service
- Maintaining and documenting service performed to temperature controllers
- Maintaining and documenting service performed to driers and hopper loaders
- Maintaining and documenting service performed to robots and sprue pickers
- Maintaining all tools and molds in good working condition
