A respected law firm in Oakland is hiring a mid-senior level attorney with 5+ years of litigation experience. You'll get exposure to a diverse practice that spans business litigation, toxic torts, employment law, product liability, and medical malpractice. The hybrid role offers substantive case ownership, direct client contact, and a collaborative, experienced team.
What you'll do
- Manage a litigation caseload from case evaluation through trial or resolution
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery, and legal briefs
- Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions
- Appear at hearings, mediations, and trial
- Develop case strategy and mentor junior attorneys and staff
What you'll bring
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Deposition and courtroom experience
- Ability to handle matters independently with sound judgment
