Job Description

Gpac is seeking a Director of Human Resources to join the team in Southern Indiana to help manage employee relations, staffing, payroll, benefits, and other HR initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President, Corporate Administration. This is an ONSITE position that is with a great family owned company that has been growing for the past century!

Key Responsibilities

  • Broad HR support including employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, staffing training, and development
  • Assist with compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
  • Administer HR policies and programs
  • Organization of records to support review and audits
  • Recruit, interview and facilitate hiring qualified job applicants
  • Onboard new employees and conduct new hire orientation
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships while maintaining confidentiality
  • Recommend policies, practices, and programs to meet changing management and company needs

Job Qualifications

  • HR Generalist with 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Manufacturing operations experience preferred
  • Experience coordinating employee engagement activities
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • College degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred
  • PHR Certification preferred
