Key Responsibilities:
Advisory & Compliance: Counsel clients on wage/hour regulations, leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA), and workplace relations.
Investigations: Conduct high-level, sensitive workplace investigations.
Litigation & Representation: Handle defense against FEHA and Title VII claims, as well as administrative hearings.
Drafting: Develop handbooks, employment agreements, and tailored workplace policies.
Qualifications:
Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
2+ years of specialized employment law experience.
Experience with public sector entities (PERB, Brown Act, Government Code) is highly preferred.
Strong independent caseload management and strategic problem-solving skills.
