Job Title: Senior Litigation Associate 

About the opportunity:

Our client is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate, Labor Law and experience in New Jersy will be given prefernce.

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting legal research and analyzing case law to develop effective strategies for resolving construction disputes
  • Drafting legal briefs, pleadings, and other documentation related to litigation
  • Representing clients in court and negotiating settlements with opposing parties
  • Managing a caseload of construction-related litigation matters
  • Collaborating with teams of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to analyze evidence and prepare for trial
  • Maintaining accurate and complete case files and legal databases
  • Participating in alternative dispute resolution processes, such as arbitration or mediation, to resolve construction disputes outside of the courtroom
  • Advising clients on legal issues related to construction projects, such as zoning and land use regulations, building codes, and insurance coverage.
  • Mediating and defending builder's liens and debt collections.

What you bring to the role:

  • Must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree or an LLB  from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in New York State, New Jersey also preferred
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills, are essential for success in this role.
