Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a motivated and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will manage a variety of civil defense matters, including personal injury and general liability claims, from initial filing through resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a full caseload of insurance defense matters, including auto liability, premises liability, bodily injury, and property damage claims.
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal briefs.
Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
Advise clients and carriers with litigation strategies focused on efficiency and strong results.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice in Illinois (or eligible for admission).
3+ years of relevant experience in insurance defense or civil litigation.
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
Federal court experience is a plus.
