Job Description

Position Title: Senior Vice President – Loan Documentation and Collateral Review. Base Salary up to $200k DOE

Location: Dallas Texas- Onsite position

Position Overview: A well-established financial institution is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Loan Documentation and Collateral Review to oversee all aspects of loan documentation and collateral risk management. This key leadership role requires deep expertise in the preparation and review of loan documents, title work, insurance certificates, and tax verifications. The SVP will also oversee the documentation process related to collections (a smaller, but important responsibility) and manage a team of two experienced loan documentation professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and thorough review of all loan documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness.
  • Review title policies, insurance documentation, and tax records to validate and safeguard collateral positions.
  • Oversee and improve documentation processes related to collections activity.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two professionals responsible for loan documentation and collateral review.
  • Collaborate with lending, credit, and compliance teams to ensure smooth documentation workflows and regulatory adherence.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on loan documentation and collateral management best practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting loan and collateral documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive senior-level experience in loan documentation and collateral review, ideally at a bank or financial institution.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing loan documentation or collateral teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of title insurance, real estate and commercial loan documentation, insurance requirements, and tax documentation.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to risk management and operational excellence.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications a plus.
