A respected, full-service law firm is seeking a highly motivated litigator to join its Labor & Employment practice group. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of litigation experience and a background in labor and employment law. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and strong ability to manage all aspects of litigation. Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all stages of labor and employment litigation, from discovery through trial
- Take and defend depositions, and argue motions in court
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents
- Provide legal counsel to clients on federal and state employment law matters
- Represent employers in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution forums
- Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategy and provide legal guidance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California Bar and in good standing
- 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in employment or business matters
- Proven experience taking and defending depositions and arguing motions
- Strong research and analytical skills with impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage cases independently and integrate feedback
- Ability to think strategically and creatively while offering practical solutions to clients
- Trial experience is a plus but not required
