A leading multidisciplinary engineering firm is expanding its Commissioning Department and seeking a Commissioning Agent with strong mechanical systems expertise. Lead mechanical and controls commissioning for HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems
Oversee on-site inspections, functional testing, and performance verification for new and retrofit projects
Review and validate design documents, specifications, and energy models for constructability and efficiency
Develop commissioning plans, system checklists, and detailed documentation reports
Coordinate closely with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors throughout all project phases
Perform field observation, testing, and thermal imaging to ensure systems meet design intent and operational requirements
Track project budgets, schedules, and change orders as related to commissioning activities
Contribute to a culture of quality, accountability, and collaboration across project teams
5+ years of experience commissioning or testing mechanical systems within the commercial or industrial sector
Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and controls systems, including sequence of operations
Familiarity with TAB procedures, BAS platforms, and MEP coordination
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Revit and AutoCAD exposure preferred
Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Self-motivated team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and client service
