Job Title: Lead Septic System Installer (Septic & Drip Systems)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Septic System Installer with a strong background in conventional septic systems and drip dispersal systems. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading installations from layout through inspection, overseeing crew members, and ensuring all work meets code and design specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead installation of septic systems including tanks, drip dispersal systems, and related components
  • Interpret septic plans, elevations, and system layouts; verify proper flow and zone placement
  • Oversee excavation, trenching, grading, bedding, and backfilling
  • Install and coordinate drip line placement, manifolds, pumps, controls, and pressure testing
  • Supervise crew members and maintain job-site productivity and quality
  • Operate or coordinate equipment use (excavators, skid steers, compactors)
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and environmental regulations
  • Act as point of contact during inspections and job-site coordination
  • Troubleshoot site conditions such as soil type, slope, and drainage challenges
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a lead or senior septic installer
  • Hands-on experience with drip septic systems (pressure dosing, manifolds, controls)
  • Ability to read plans, understand elevations, and execute system layouts accurately
  • Experience leading crews and managing installs end-to-end
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and site work
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with advanced or alternative treatment systems
  • Familiarity with inspections, permitting, and health department requirements
  • Equipment operation experience
  • Background in plumbing, site work, or underground utilities
