Job Description

A well-established commodity trading organization is seeking an experienced Commodity Trader to join their growing team. This opportunity is designed for proven traders who want greater autonomy, unlimited earning potential, and the ability to build and manage their own book of business while leveraging the resources and support of an established trading platform.

The ideal candidate will have experience buying and selling physical commodities, managing supplier and customer relationships, and generating gross profit through market expertise, negotiation, and relationship development.

Compensation Structure

  • Guaranteed commission during the first 6–12 months.
  • 50% commission on first $250K Gross Profit.
  • 55% commission on $250K–$400K Gross Profit.
  • 60% commission above $450K Gross Profit.
  • Commission tiers carry forward year over year and do not reset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a profitable commodity trading book.
  • Identify new business opportunities with buyers, suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Source and negotiate commodity transactions to maximize gross profit.
  • Maintain and expand long-term customer and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply/demand changes.
  • Manage the full trading process from sourcing through execution and delivery.
  • Build a sustainable book of business through relationship-driven sales.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in commodity trading, brokerage, or physical commodity sales.
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and gross profit.
  • Existing industry relationships preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in a performance-based environment.
