Qualifications
• 3 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems and new construction and retrofits of multifamily and/or all types of commercial projects
• Experience with a variety of system types and manufacturers
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings
• Proficiency in MS Office, estimating and take off tools
• NICET II or accumulated experience
• Strong knowledge of industry codes (NFPA & FFPC)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning and organization skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license, pass appropriate requirements
Responsibilities
• The successful candidate will estimate new construction and repairs for existing systems
• Perform system engineering estimation to support the branch sales team
• Create cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist Sales in bidding or determining the price of a project
• Utilize plans and specifications to analyze project needs and compile detailed cost estimates
• Responsible for take-off and pricing of materials to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc
• Identify possible cost-saving opportunities and/or risk items that will occur on various projects
