Commercial Construction Superintendent

Helena, Montana

If you’re a Superintendent who knows how to take ownership of a jobsite, lead from the field, and keep a project moving without needing someone looking over your shoulder, this is an opportunity worth a conversation.

We’re partnering with a highly respected Helena MT general contractor that is looking to add an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to its team. This is a field-driven role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, building strong subcontractor relationships, solving problems in real time, and delivering quality projects from the ground up.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll have responsibility for the day-to-day field execution of commercial construction projects, including:

• Leading projects from mobilization through final turnover
• Managing daily jobsite operations, subcontractors, manpower and sequencing
• Maintaining and driving the project schedule
• Coordinating closely with Project Managers, owners, architects and trade partners
• Running subcontractor and field coordination meetings
• Identifying potential schedule or constructability issues before they become problems
• Maintaining high standards for safety, quality and site organization
• Managing inspections, punch lists and project closeout
• Keeping accurate daily reports and field documentation
• Creating accountability among subcontractors while maintaining productive working relationships

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial construction Superintendent experience
• Experience managing ground-up commerical projects. 
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling and field operations
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and project documents
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain aggressive schedules
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A field-first mentality and the ability to make decisions and solve problems
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Experience with projects such as education, healthcare, municipal, office, hospitality, retail, multifamily or other complex commercial construction is highly desirable.
