About the Opportunity

GPAC has partnered with a reputable and fast-growing pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) fabrication and erection company that delivers high-quality metal building projects across commercial and industrial markets. Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support project management activities from contract award through final installation.

This is a direct-hire position with a stable and well-respected company offering long-term career growth and exposure to a variety of PEMB projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all phases of PEMB projects, including building frames, roofs, wall panels, mezzanines, canopies, and accessories.

  • Support communication and coordination between clients, engineers, detailers, fabrication teams, and field crews.

  • Help track project timelines, budgets, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

  • Review project drawings and specifications under the guidance of senior project managers to ensure alignment with scope and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress, assist with issue resolution, and contribute to on-time, on-budget delivery.

  • Coordinate with estimating and detailing teams on change orders and revisions.

  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project support roles; fresh graduates strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • Familiarity with pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with AutoCAD, Tekla, Bluebeam, or Fabtrol is a bonus.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow in a project management career.
