Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager with structural steel experience to lead and oversee safety operations for our field and shop teams in Las Vegas. This is a local position with no travel required. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction safety experience, strong knowledge of steel erection operations, and the ability to work directly with ironworkers and field leadership.

This role is critical in maintaining a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site-specific work plans and safety plans

  • Ensure ironworkers and field personnel complete all required safety documentation and certifications

  • Conduct weekly safety meetings for both field crews and shop personnel

  • Perform routine jobsite and shop walkthroughs to identify and correct potential hazards

  • Maintain OSHA compliance and proper safety documentation

  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions when necessary

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in structural steel or steel erection safety

  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations

  • OSHA certifications (OSHA 30 minimum preferred)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with field crews and leadership

Preferred:

  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification

  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field (not required but a plus)
