Job Description

We're interviewing now for a Senior Associate Attorney to join a small firm in a lovely central Maine location. 

This position offers a unique opportunity to become an equity partner in a very short time.

Onsite position with Hybrid available during relocation, if necessary.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

•Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

•Active license to practice law in good standing with the Maine state bar

•8+ years of experience in trusts & estates, probate, or elder law

•Real Estate and Title experience a bonus but not required

•Strong drafting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive client matters with professionalism

•Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

•Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, wealth-transfer strategies, and powers of attorney

•Manage probate proceedings and trust administration from start to finish

•Conduct client consultations, assess planning objectives, and develop effective long-term solutions

•Work closely with families, fiduciaries, financial advisors, and firm partners to implement appropriate estate strategies

•Maintain timely and clear communication with clients throughout the planning or administration process
