Job Title: Trial Attorney – Insurance Defense (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
The firm is seeking a Trial Attorney with 5–10 years of litigation experience, ideally in insurance defense. While defense experience is preferred, the firm is open to candidates with plaintiff-side trial backgrounds. This position requires admission to the New Jersey Bar. The role involves significant case responsibility and offers a hybrid work arrangement for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in insurance defense and other civil litigation matters.

  • Manage cases from inception through trial, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, and court appearances.

  • Serve as first or second chair at trial.

  • Develop litigation strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.

  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases while maintaining independent responsibility for your caseload.

  • Ensure timely communication with clients and adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active admission to the New Jersey Bar (additional bar admissions a plus).

  • 5–10 years of litigation experience, with trial experience required.

  • Background in insurance defense strongly preferred; plaintiff trial experience considered.

  • Strong advocacy, research, and writing skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
