Audit Manager - Financial Services

Location: Greenville, SC

Overview

A regional tax, assurance and consulting firm is seeking an Audit Manager for its financial services assurance practice, with Greenville, South Carolina among the listed offices. This role oversees audits from planning to completion, researches complex issues, recommends improvements and trains, supervises and reviews the work of audit staff and seniors. Hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Know all facets of each client business and keep clients informed of engagement progress, issues and resolutions
• Lead multiple audit and accounting engagements simultaneously
• Delegate and manage audit assignments to deliver accurate and efficient work
• Research complex audit issues and recommend creative solutions
• Manage billable hour budgets and follow up on variances
• Coach and direct the audit team and build developmental plans for team members
• Generate new business through community involvement, networking and professional events
• Develop and sustain client relationships end-to-end

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of recent audit experience at a public accounting firm
• CPA certification
• Experience with PCAOB and SOX audits for financial institutions preferred
• Experience developing new or extended service opportunities
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience hiring, developing and leading a team of auditors
