Job Description

Florida law firm specializing in family law has an opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate attorney to join their awesome team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist supervising attorney in management of family law cases
• Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
• Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
• Telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits
• Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial
• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the Florida bar
• Two to ten plus years of family law experience desired
• A fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
• Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team
