GPAC is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established general contractor with a national retail program. The company is adding a Traveling Superintendent and Traveling Project Engineer - Retail to its team in Chicago, IL. This is an urgent, high-priority opening.

The Role

Focus: Experience building large retail stores is required. Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build ground-up and remodel large retail stores nationwide
• Run day-to-day field operations, safety and quality on site
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and self-performed crews
• Maintain the project schedule, daily reports and site logistics
• Build strong relationships with owners, inspectors and trade partners
• Manage RFIs, submittals and project documentation

Requirements

• Experience building large retail stores is required. Willingness to travel.
• Proven record of delivering work safely, on time and on budget
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Procore, Bluebeam, P6 or similar a plus
