Estimator/Purchasing in Lithia Springs

Job Description

The Purchasing/Estimator will be responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, managing vendor and trade partner relationships, and overseeing purchasing activities for residential construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to ensure budgets are maintained, schedules are met, and quality standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates for new home construction, remodels, and related projects
• Solicit, review, and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors and trade partners
• Issue purchase orders and maintain accurate records in the project management system
• Track costs against budgets and report on variances
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure material and labor needs are met on schedule
• Maintain strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and current market pricing

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in estimating and/or purchasing in residential construction
• Strong knowledge of residential construction practices and building materials
• Proficiency in software- preferably MarksSystem**
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
