Director of Architecture
A prominent Architecture, Engineering, and Landscape Architecture firm with a strong culture of quality and innovation, is seeking a Director of Architecture to oversee our Augusta, Georgia office. As Director of Architecture, you will spearhead business development initiatives and contribute significantly to the overall growth of the team. You will work closely with clients, developers, counties, and municipalities to develop plans, manage the design process and lead production efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Lead client outreach for new project marketing.
- Create marketing plans and assist in proposal writing.
- Manage architectural projects and staff in all phases including construction documentation for Urban Design, Mixed-Use, Commercial, Industrial, Multifamily, Education, Healthcare, Historic Renovations, and more.
- Create budget estimates and scope of work for planning and construction purposes.
- Review and interpret regulatory codes, ordinances, and comprehensive plans.
- Review and analyze land features relating to opportunities and constraints for development.
- Prepare due diligence analysis, land development concepts, design plans and graphic illustrations using both digital and hand drawn formats.
- Guide architects and civil engineers to develop and refine design solutions.
- Lead project meetings with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the editing of technical plans, details, and specifications.
- Supervises and mentor junior level architects.
Qualifications:
- Professional Licensure (GA) - or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
- B.S or M.S Degree in Architecture or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Architecture Project Management including budgeting, scheduling, scope of work, and staff management through all phases.
- Proven track-record with public and private sector projects.
- Hands on experience in business development, project management, and staff mentorship.
- Excellent writing and oral presentation skills.
- Strong aptitude in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Expert technical knowledge of architectural site development elements.
- The ability to think innovatively and develop unique and creative design solutions.
