Job Description

An well-established agriculture organization in Iowa is seeking an experienced Agronomy Location Manager to oversee daily operations at a key agronomy site. This leadership role is responsible for team supervision, customer service, facility maintenance, safety compliance, inventory control, and operational planning. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service to growers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and workflow for agronomy facility and personnel

  • Supervise, train, and manage performance of operations staff

  • Coordinate incoming/outgoing inventory for seed, fertilizer, and crop protection products

  • Maintain clean, organized facilities and safe work environments

  • Ensure equipment and vehicle maintenance meets safety and efficiency standards

  • Assist with hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and compliance tracking

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on goals, budgeting, and asset planning

  • Load and dispatch deliveries, operate equipment as needed, and support customer pickups

  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain documentation in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and industry standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

  • Experience in agronomy operations or ag retail preferred

  • Familiarity with inventory systems and scheduling tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

  • Valid driver’s license; grain grading or applicator certifications a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and lead a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions

  • Willingness to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces as needed

  • Regularly climb and perform physical labor as part of operational support
