Audit Manager – Public Accounting

A top regional public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Manager to join its growing team. The firm serves a diverse client base across industries including real estate, manufacturing, government, and not-for-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical audit expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and review multiple audit engagements simultaneously

• Manage and mentor staff across concurrent engagements

• Review audit workpapers and ensure overall quality and compliance with professional standards

• Coordinate directly with clients to address audit findings and engagement needs

• Ensure deliverables are clear, accurate, and aligned with firm standards

• Assist in developing audit methodology, training, and internal resources

• Manage engagement timelines and budgets effectively

Qualifications

• CPA required

• 5+ years of public accounting experience in external audit

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff

• Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with private and publicly traded companies; FCC and/or HUD experience is a plus

   

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
