Position Overview:
They are seeking an experienced and energetic Sales Representative to promote and grow sales of their premium equine feed products throughout New York and New England. The ideal candidate has a solid footing in the equine industry—particularly in racing, eventing, or sport horse disciplines—and a strong drive for sales and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with trainers, barn managers, farm owners, feed dealers, and veterinarians
Identify new sales opportunities and convert leads into long-term customers
Provide product knowledge and nutritional insights to clients and prospects
Represent the brand at equine events, trade shows, and industry gatherings
Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to support territory growth
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Qualifications:
Established network within the equine or racing/sport horse community
Proven sales experience (equine industry experience highly preferred)
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
Willingness to travel regularly within the region
Passion for horses and equine nutrition is a must
