I’m partnering confidentially with a national, full-service law firm to identify an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate for its St. Louis office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated IP litigation matters alongside experienced trial attorneys across multiple offices.
The practice handles a broad range of intellectual property disputes, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and unfair competition matters, with meaningful hands-on responsibility from early in the engagement.
Support and manage IP litigation matters in federal court
Assist with patent litigation, including claim analysis and prior art review
Draft claim charts, pleadings, briefs, and substantive motions
Manage and oversee ESI collection and production
Take and defend depositions
Collaborate on expert discovery and reports
Assist with hearing and trial preparation
Exposure to PTAB post-grant proceedings is a plus
J.D. from an accredited law school
3+ years of experience in IP litigation (patent litigation preferred) or complex federal litigation
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Undergraduate degree in science or engineering preferred
Patent Bar eligibility a plus
Clerkship experience a plus
Licensed in Missouri or eligible for admission
Sophisticated, nationally scoped IP litigation work
