Role Description
They are seeking a Senior Accountant (Full-Cycle Accountant) to join their team. This role involves managing the full range of activities required to create financial statements for monthly and year-end closings, financial reporting, and analysis. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the month-end close process, financial reporting, and auditing. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with external CPAs to ensure timely and accurate year-end reporting.
Manage accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P).
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
Handle ad hoc projects and analyses as assigned.
Demonstrate familiarity with fee-based and time-and-material billing practices.
Manage payroll and payroll tax processes.
Oversee benefits management, timesheets, and expense processing, while fostering effective communication across all levels of the team.
Reconcile credit card statements.
Advise executive management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and forecasting.
Assist with corporate insurance policy applications.
Maintain and report on project costs.
Qualifications:
5–10 years of professional accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP (5 years required).
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working in a team environment.
Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint preferred.
Familiarity with full-cycle accounting for professional services preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a comparable field, with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
