We have partnered with a well-established law firm located near Kansas City, specializing in trust and estate planning, probate law, and elder law. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trust and Estate Planning Attorney to join our dynamic team.

As a Trust and Estate Planning Attorney, you will be responsible for advising clients on matters related to trusts, estates, probate, and related legal issues. You will handle a diverse range of cases and provide tailored legal strategies to help clients plan for the future and navigate complex estate matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients regarding asset protection, tax strategies, and wealth transfer.
  • Assist clients with the probate process, including administering estates and resolving disputes.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals, such as accountants and financial planners, to deliver holistic solutions for clients.
  • Represent clients in estate and trust litigation, as necessary.
  • Keep clients informed about changes in relevant laws and ensure their estate plans remain current.
  • Manage a caseload efficiently, meeting deadlines and providing high-quality service.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Kansas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, and probate law.
  • Knowledge of Kansas state and federal estate planning and tax laws.
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and handle multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent drafting and document preparation skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
