Labor and Employment Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience. This role requires strong litigation skills, comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to handle both plaintiff and defense-side cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in labor and employment matters including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and wrongful termination.
Handle cases before federal and state courts, as well as administrative agencies such as the EEOC, NYSDHR, and NLRB.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery, and motions.
Advise clients on compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and risk management strategies.
Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
Work independently and collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice and in good standing in New York.
Minimum 3 years of labor and employment law experience.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
Experience with litigation, administrative proceedings, and client counseling.
