Summary: The Commercial Lines Insurance Team Lead oversees and is responsible for managing and coordinating a team of Commercial Account Managers within the organization. This role entails leading a team to manage, assess, and enhance commercial insurance processes while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional service to employees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of commercial account managers. 
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and individual growth.
  2. Insurance Program Management:
    • Manage a small commercial book of business.
    • Manage the administration of multiple commercial insurance policies, ensuring efficient execution and compliance.
    • Collaborate with insurance providers to ensure the smooth functioning and optimization of insurance plans.
    • Analyze and evaluate insurance policies to identify trends, potential cost savings, and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Compliance and Policy Adherence:
    • Ensure all insurance benefit programs adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Stay updated with changes in insurance regulations, communicating necessary adjustments to the team.
    • Work closely with legal and compliance departments to ensure all insurance programs are compliant.
  4. Employee Support and Communication:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
    • Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure continuous learning.
  5. Data Management and Reporting:
    • Oversee the maintenance of accurate insurance records and data.
    • Generate and analyze reports on insurance program performance, utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Use data insights to make informed recommendations for improving client coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in administration, insurance management, or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry trends, practices, and principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in EPIC agency management systems.
