Position Summary:

One of our top clients is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Merger and Acquisitions Attorney to join our thriving practice in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in handling all aspects of M&A transactions, including:

  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Representing both buyers and sellers in a wide range of M&A transactions, including stock and asset purchases, mergers, joint ventures, and divestitures.
  • Due Diligence: Conducting and managing comprehensive due diligence investigations.
  • Negotiation and Drafting: Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, shareholder agreements, and other ancillary agreements.
  • Structuring and Advising: Advising clients on all aspects of M&A transactions, including deal structuring, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Bar admission in good standing in Virginia
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in M&A law at a reputable law firm
  • Strong academic record and excellent research and writing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
