Job Title: Engineering Technician

Position Overview We are seeking an Engineering Technician responsible for creating design and approval drawings for customer orders. Upon customer approval, you will prepare production-ready documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of the construction process and the ability to manage fluctuating workloads efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and structural drawings to design our systems.
- Prepare accurate shop drawings for submittal and manufacturing purposes.
- Manage project files, tracking all design revisions and correspondence.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure timely communication with Project Managers.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Learn and utilize company systems, including TEAMS, Visual ERP, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting and Design or a Bachelor’s in Architecture preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required; familiarity with Inventor is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction practices, drafting principles, and CAD tools.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Knowledge of Visual ERP or similar systems is advantageous.
- Certifications in CAD or related fields are a plus.
Tools & Technology
- AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit.
- TEAMS and Visual ERP software.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Work Context
- Typical work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:30 PM CST (core hours).
- 40-45 hours per week with flexible scheduling outside core hours.
- Office-based work environment, with minimal physical demands.
- Periodic travel to company plants for training and product familiarity.
- Initial 6-month training on-site. Post-training, flexible work arrangements may include remote or hybrid schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $50,500–$64,500/year (DOQ/DOE).
