With our team this Local Estimator will immerse yourself in an environment where your analytical skills will shape the future of our projects. At Our Company, you'll analyze plans, assess costs, and craft competitive bids that help build the communities we serve.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Analyze drawings and specs to develop accurate bids
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for pricing
- Prepare quantity take-offs, bid breakdowns, and proposal documents
- Attend pre-bid walk-throughs and ensure bid coverage
- Review and qualify proposals, summarize scopes of work
- Finalize Bid Book and support hand-off to Project Managers
- Assist with contract reviews and ongoing project support
What You'll Need:
- A minimum of 3 years of estimating experience
- A strong understanding of financial practices, accounting policies and computer related programs.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Experience with Sage, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar program preferred
