Deposit Operations Specialist Location: Houston, TX | Community Bank | Full-Time

A well-capitalized, relationship-driven community bank in Houston, Texas is seeking an experienced Deposit Operations Specialist to join our back-office team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, takes pride in accuracy and compliance, and enjoys supporting front-line staff and customers with excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily deposit operations functions, including ACH, wires, account maintenance, and reconciliations

  • Ensure regulatory compliance (Reg E, BSA/AML, NACHA, etc.) and internal controls are consistently met

  • Process incoming/outgoing wire transfers and resolve exceptions and research requests

  • Provide support to branch and customer service teams on deposit-related inquiries

  • Assist with system conversions, process improvements, and policy documentation

  • Liaise with auditors and examiners as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in deposit operations or similar back-office banking functions

  • Strong understanding of banking regulations and operational procedures

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability

  • Experience with core banking systems (Jack Henry, FIS, or similar) is a plus
