A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking a Health Law Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of experience to join its Kansas City office. This role focuses on the defense of complex medical malpractice, correctional medicine, and long-term care litigation, and offers meaningful responsibility in sophisticated, high-stakes matters.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Have a strong interest in medical malpractice or health care defense
Take ownership of your files and manage day-to-day case activity
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues
Work efficiently and focus on delivering value
Enjoy practicing law in a collegial, team-oriented environment
Handle all phases of litigation, including responsive pleadings, discovery, and depositions
Strategize and evaluate cases in collaboration with senior attorneys
Work with expert witnesses
Participate in case negotiation and mediation
Assist with trial preparation and attend trial proceedings
Maintain regular communication with clients and opposing counsel
