Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced industrial machinery at customer facilities. This is a permanent, full-time role for a hands-on professional who enjoys travel, technical problem-solving, and working with precision mechanical and electromechanical systems. This position supports equipment reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction in demanding production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and start up industrial machinery
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
Perform preventive maintenance and evaluate system performance
Troubleshoot servo systems, motion control systems, and precision mechanical assemblies
Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Perform mechanical alignments, calibrations, and component replacements
Train customer personnel and document service activities
Communicate equipment status and coordinate with engineering support
Travel to customer sites as required
Required Qualifications
Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
3+ years of field service or industrial maintenance experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with CNC machinery, automation equipment, or precision industrial systems
Ability to work independently at customer sites
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Highly Preferred
Proficiency with ball screws is a major advantage. Experience servicing, aligning, replacing, or troubleshooting ball screw assemblies in precision motion systems is highly valued.
Additional plus skills include servo motors and drives, PLC troubleshooting, linear motion systems and guideways, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, and machine geometry or precision alignment.
Work Environment
Field-based role in industrial manufacturing settings. Work may involve standing for extended periods, lifting tools or components, and working around operating machinery. Occasional extended hours may be required.
