A consulting firm is seeking a project geologist to support environmental site investigations and assessments. The role involves conducting site assessments, managing environmental investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Perform soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring, and data analysis
- Oversee soil gas surveys and vapor intrusion assessments
- Assist in developing and implementing remediation strategies
- Prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field
- Three to five years of experience in environmental consulting, site assessments, or remediation projects
- Knowledge of environmental fieldwork, data collection, and reporting
- Familiarity with state and federal environmental regulations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
