DISPATCHER NEEDED in Baltimore

Job Description

DISPATCHER

The Dispatcher is the brain of our daily transportation operation. This is a very rewarding and demanding position that requires extreme dedication and long hours. You must be very adaptive, good at problem solving and quick on your feet.

DUTIES

• Promote and create a positive work environment for the drivers.
• Empower the drivers to provide the safest and highest quality transportation.
• Scheduling drivers for daily routes .
• Provide the driver with all paperwork including directions, itinerary, etc.
• Communicate between destination personnel and drivers of route changes and or any issues, via phone, radio, and email.
• Resolve driver call offs and schedule substitute drivers.
• Working with computer scheduling system.
• Solve trip problems with drivers
• Answering all customer inquiries, phone calls and emails.
• Properly handle customer complaints and issues.
• Be a happy proactive go-getter making our customers #1.
• Recruit and hire 
• Manger driver paperwork and training. 
• Must be able to comply with District, state, and national regulations as they relate to vehicle safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Understanding of routing and GPS
• Ability to remain calm 
• Must be able to work with accuracy and with attention to detail.
• Understand load/route planning
